Top Googlers: How To Decode and Encode


“Google said…” – that daunting phrase that can send even well-seasoned SEO experts scrambling or (the exact opposite) frozen where they stand. Decoding what “Googlers” say usually allow SEO specialists to sit down and have a tasteful chat over tea, or whatever makes them think a lot more clearer of the new bit of news that they have recently received from the major search engine company.

It is truly an extremely tempting experience, isn’t it, to take the bits of information which Google deliberately leak to the SEO community too literally, because sometimes they are meant to be taken literal; but what happens if they are not? What you need to keep in mind in dealing with Google Speak(speech) and Googlers’ statements for that matter, is to be cautious in absorbing them and consider their context, especially the when, where, and what they particularly impart to you.

In a nut shell, what should you and an SEO do? Well here are some tips that we have gathered in order to help you analyze statements that you get from Googlers:


  1. Take into consideration the reputation of the particular contributor as well as the components of each information that he or she discusses. Know where the source of the information is, wait for at least a couple of days after it was posted and observe the flow of the commentaries on that post; from there you can already make your own understanding of their statements.
  2. Before you pass on any information or updates that you have received make sure that you have already look in to the date when it was posted so you are certain of its validity. As much as possible, it would really help either you insert the link on where you get it or you use the original words of the contributor. This is related to the previous number. Aside from the quote, it’ll also help to give a bit of a backgrounder about the when, why, and where the statement was imparted.
